Path of the Idle: Old Gods Rising was released in full. I had a whole post about the beta for the game, but it seems to have been lost in my drafts. The beta was out for about 3 months on Steam and was genuinely the first idle game beta since Desktop
Heroes that I really had fun keeping in the corner of my screen. Idle games are an odd gene, it's one of those that a lot of people just say "Why" however I always put it akin to Football/Baseball Sports Manager games you always saw on your Dad's shelf but never wanted to play.
With the full release, I have been keeping it on at night while I sleep and shutting it down during the day. The offline reward system ( once unlocked ) is superb, and I almost might say you get just as much from that as you would keeping the game on. I rarely have to check on it but maybe once or twice a day. When I do I have to do a decent bit of organizing and skill planning, but watching the little
guys run and demolish creatures is quite fun.

The class structure has not changed much from the demo, but the end game content def has and some of it is pretty damn tough. Currently I have all three tri-class groups unlocked and most of them are in their 90s. With the full release you really do have to concentrate on subclass builds of subclasses of Hero subclasses. Which is quite fun, because it makes you specialize, but also, assuming all your chars are about the same level really allows you to mix and match classes to find good combos for certain content. They give you a set of pre-built builds that are pretty simple, but easy to customize:

The graphics are great and remind me of the Mewgenics/Cult of the Lamb series. Quite fun and the quips that the characters say sometimes are decently funny. Especially if you pull a character from the Prison to venture forth that has had their will broke or tortured ( dark, I know, but it's par for the course in this game ).

All in all, pretty solid little Idle game and I would recommend it for anyone that likes these types of games. Price point is probably spot on. Trying to run through and 100% of achievements on Steam, have a feeling those last 3 are going to be brutal, but we shall see.
