A few weeks ago when the war began me and a bunch of friends started to discuss Helium and the need for it in Medical MRI imaging. The Strait of Hormuz was the only pass through for a good bit of it. The friend's dad worked in the radiation medical industry, and I asked him about it, and we did a little research and saw that it would be something to be concerned about going forward. Here we are weeks later, and this author did an amazing writeup on it and all its uses. I had no idea. Great read.
Helium Is Hard to Replace
The war in Iran, and the subsequent closure of the Strait of Hormuz, has unfortunately made us all familiar with details of the petroleum supply chain that we could formerly happily ignore.
