Bodies and Babies edition.
I yelled into my phone “I’m pregnant” for 5 minutes on Sunday to see which apps would start advertising baby things. Definitely NOT pregnant. Zero babies in my sphere. Didn’t get any ads, but just received these free formula samples in the mail, which is creepier. pic.twitter.com/tGlOHfTMxO— Sam (@scarlet_xroads) April 19, 2019
Fascinating if true. Most people in the thread seem to be saying Instagram, and one person goes so far as to claim that the Instagram app records when open. That is beyond belief if true. I have in the past audited my microphone settings and found apps where I must have ok’d the mic use (I think this is an Apple requirement for the prompt first), however apps that record video (Instagram, facebook, youtube) all request Mic and Video access to work, so maybe that’s the under the rug assumption they can record whenever the app is open. Pretty shitty, if so.
During a series of engine tests of SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft this past Saturday, the vehicle experienced what the company has characterized as an “anomaly.” Based upon an unauthorized leaked video of the accident, the company was counting down toward a firing of the Dragon’s SuperDraco thrusters when the vehicle exploded.

We went and say the Bodies exhibit here in Atlanta a few years ago. Absolutly facinating, this is a grea take on it.
